Excitement and anxiety have enveloped Nigeria as its 87.209 million go to the polls to elect the nation’s leaders.
The figure represents the number of voters with Permanent Voter’s Cards across the country.
The number of collected PVCs represents 93.3 per cent of the total number of registered voters.

Among states with a huge voting population are Lagos, Kano, Kaduna and Rivers.
At stake in the Saturday elections are the seat of the President, 109 Senate slots and the 360 seats in the House of Representatives.
INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu has confirmed that all the 18 registered political parties are slugging it out for the positions with some contesting every seat while others have opted out of some races.(NAN)
