Police in Ondo State have a new puzzle to crack as children said to be up to 50 have reportedly been found hidden in a church.

In what suggests kidnapping, they were said to have been kept in the underground apartment of the church.

Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the victims had been taken to the Akure headquarters of the command.

“I don’t have the details yet but they are bringing the victims to the headquarters. I will give you the details as soon as I get it from the DPO,” the PPRO stated.

The kids are also seen in a short viral video as they are being taken away by policemen.

While the state government has yet to comment on the matter, various other organisations connected with security and trafficking are said to have swung into action over the matter.

Ondo State is still practically in a mourning mood due to the terrorist attack on St Frances Catholic Church Owo, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s hometown, where 40 people weremassacred.
